  1. I have been aiming this direction for a while. I wanted to raise my kids on meat and veggies, not chemicals. I want them to avoid the health and weight issues that bother most people I know. I think it is working for us. I have lost some weight, but the biggest benefit is that I feel better when I eat like this. If I munch on a few nuts through out the day, I don’t get hungry and munchy like before. When I eat a ton of veggies I feel more alert. I haven’t completely cut ties with flour and sugar yet, but we have cut way back, and changed to an unbleached no additive versions. .. baby steps!

  2. I love this food list! I follow a similar diet called the Ketogenic diet or Low Carb High Fat (LCHF). Of course there are some differences between paleo foods and keto foods but as far as similarity most of the foods on this list is what I eat. Paleo diets like these are awesome for weight loss and overall well being. Great site!

    • Truly appreciate the visit and the comments. I agree in the similarity to the diets and can only attest to the health benefits I have received with Paleo.

Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions on a going forward basis.

  3. I have been on what I called the “cave man” diet before, which was very similar (if not the same). I lost about 35 pounds while on that diet. It was nice because I could still eat, but I just ate better things.

Since then, I have gotten off of the diet and gotten married to a woman who likes to cook. My stomach is back to where it was!

I am going to try the Paleo diet because it sounds like a more fine-tuned version of the Cave Man diet, so I know that it will work. Thank you!
